Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil Mask

We suggest using sea buckthorn oil topically all the time but have never made a single post dedicated to making your own sea buckthorn topical mask. This DIY treatment is so easy and a great way to pamper your skin.

Who should use this treatment?

Nearly everyone can benefit from a sea buckthorn berry oil mask treatment. How often you do depends on your skin type and also what you are trying to achieve. You might want to do this treatment more than once a week if you have dry skin or are recovering from a sunburn. If you don’t have any skin ailments and just want to pamper your face you can do this treatment once or twice a month. Even oily skin types can benefit from sea buckthorn oil treatments because these oils can help balance the skin. Step 1

Start with only a drop or two of sea buckthorn berry oil on your fingertips. A little goes a long way, trust us. Then just go ahead and massage the oils right into the skin on your face, paying special attention to areas that need help.

Just relax! You need to give the oil time to absorb into your skin, so chill for about 20-30 minutes. Don’t do this treatment right before you rush out to work in the morning, give yourself a chance to relax and leave time to really let it soak in. You can leave the oil on your skin for as long as you like.

Either wipe off or wash off the excess oil with warm soapy water. Everyone’s skin will absorb the berry oil mask slightly differently. Some have reported that their skin sucks up every drop but most will find that there will still be an orangey glow and a thin layer of left over oil. We definitely suggest washing off any access oil before you go to sleep, especially on light colored bed clothes. The oil washes out surprisingly well but you don’t want to take a chance with your favorite comforter!
